GridNoir

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how GridNoir handles data in the mobile app and on this website.

Who we are

GridNoir is published by Racorway. Contact [email protected] for privacy questions or support.

Account (optional) and sign-in

Playing requires no account: without signing in, your progress is stored only on your device. We do not ask for contacts, photos, camera, microphone or precise location.

If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we store on our server: your email (from Google; with Apple it may be a private-relay address or withheld), your display name and avatar (optional), a provider and Firebase identifier, an internal account identifier, a hashed installation identifier, and your progress and hint balance linked to the account.

We use this data to back up your progress in the cloud, sync it across devices and for leaderboards. We do not use account data for advertising and we do not sell it.

Data stored on your device

GridNoir stores progress, unlocked levels, available hints, preferences and downloaded level catalogs on your device.

You can remove this data by deleting the app or using your operating system storage controls.

Level catalog service

On launch, the app may contact a level service to check for new cases. The request can include catalog version, language, platform, app version, build number, schema version and supported asset features.

The server may process normal technical data such as IP address, date, requested path and user agent for security, diagnostics and service delivery. We retain server logs for up to 90 days unless longer retention is needed for security or legal compliance.

Game services, activity and scores

If you use Game Center or Google Play Games, the app may send platform player identifiers, visible alias, platform, app version, app launches, solved cases, time, hints used, mistakes and score to our backend.

Player identifiers are transformed into hashes before being stored on our backend. We use this data for achievements, internal statistics, security, diagnostics and future leaderboards. If the platform does not return a player identity, the app may use an installation identifier.

Analytics and crashes

The app may use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to measure aggregated usage, detect crashes and improve stability. These services may process installation identifiers, usage events, performance data and crash reports.

Ads and consent

GridNoir uses Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform for rewarded ads and consent management.

Google may process device or advertising identifiers, approximate network-derived location, ad interactions, diagnostics and anti-fraud signals to serve, measure and protect ads.

On iOS, if tracking permission is requested, you can accept or deny it in the system prompt. In regions where consent is required, UMP presents consent choices before personalized ads are loaded when applicable.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with providers needed to operate the app: backend hosting, Apple/Google game services, Firebase Authentication (Google) and Google or Apple sign-in to verify your identity, and Google/Firebase for ads, consent, analytics and crash reporting.

Retention and deleting your account

We use secure connections (HTTPS). Account data is kept until you delete your account; server logs (including IP) are kept for about 90 days unless longer retention is needed for security or legal compliance.

You can permanently delete your account and all its data in the app, under Account → Delete account. You can also do it on the web, without installing the app: https://www.gridnoir.com/delete-account

Deletion is irreversible and removes your email, profile, identities, progress and hint balance. For any privacy request, email [email protected].

Children

GridNoir is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy when the app, providers or legal requirements change. The latest update date appears near the top of the page.
